“This was shot at Holborn Studios. I’d seen how the ‘Parklife’ video looked, as I knew the director, Pedro Romhanyi, so I went to a hire shop specialising in scenic backdrops and took one of a suburban street, similar to the streets in video. This was my homage to Parklife.” Lawrence Watson
This signed, limited edition, exhibition-grade print shows Blur in 1995 at the height of Britpop. In a post-Parklife victory lap that gave us anthems like The Universal, Stereotypes and Charmless Man, Blur took a moment to be photographed by Lawrence Watson for Rockin’ On magazine at Holborn Studios.
Lawrence Watson’s portraits of music royalty have visually defined our favourite musicians for decades. For Print Matters, Lawrence shares an exclusive collection of limited edition, signed prints of his globally renowned work.
