“I was in Salford to shoot Ian Brown for the Japanese magazine Rockin’ On. An entire street had just been painted pink for a Barbie commercial and was being guarded by security men. Fortunately, these guards had also worked security for The Stone Roses, so we were welcomed and given access to take some shots. After the shoot, Ian sweetly asked me to make some prints for the local kids who are in the pictures. Ian’s good nature always shone through.” Lawrence Watson
